You can’t be addicted to food, this just means that you are using food to try to help cure or supress something that is happening on the inside.

So, any ongoing problems lately? Anything bothering you? Try to fix those first, and see what happens!

By definition, you cannot be addicted to food because it is necessary to life. It would be the same as being addicted to oxygen.

However, I do know exactly what you mean. I struggled with compulsive and binge eating for 20 years. From a place of experience, I can assure you it *is* possible to beat it.

I would highly suggest that you get every book Geneen Roth has written. It isn’t an easy journey, but you can make it through. It is going to require you to face your deepest darkest self.

I did not seek outside help (such as counselling or treatment centers) but I just kept reading and recommiting to having a normal relationship with food. Eventually, over the course of about a year and a half, I completely broke free of the cycle.

Good luck!!!!
