Question by John Arkan: Do drug detox centers help the withdrawals from painkillers?
My brother is trying to kick the habit of painkillers, but unfortunately if he stops he’ll get the worst withdrawals imaginable. If I send him to rehab or a detox center will it help his withdrawals. What’s it like?

At those centers they usually try to slowly wean them from the drug they are addicted to so they do not suffer withdrawls. I don’t know what it is like myself but I would much rather go through rehab than try to do it on my own.
