For Eric Allan Kramer, who was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, acting became a serious interest during his high school years.
Upon graduation, he was accepted into the BFA acting program at the University of Alberta at Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. While there, he worked primarily in theater but also found some work in television and feature films. A fencing and swordplay expert, he was often hired as a fight choreographer.
Eric moved to Los Angeles after receiving a call from his friend, actor Gary Sandy (“WKRP in Cincinnati”), who told him that the role Eric had played in a Canadian production of “The Foreigner” was available in Los Angeles.
Eric welcomed the opportunity and went on to garner roles in both television and feature films. His many film credits include starring in “Robin Hood: Men in Tights,” where he played Little John; as well as “True Romance” and “High School High.”
He was a series regular on the television comedies, “Bob” and “Down Home”; and has guest starred on “Murphy Brown,” “Arli$ $ ” and ABC’s “Dharma & Greg.”
Eric maintains his roots in the theater world and is a member of the Antaeus Classical Rep Company in Los Angeles. He has performed in some of their productions, including “The Wood Demon” at the Mark Taper Forum, for which he received an Ovation Award nomination.
Though he now lives in southern California, Eric is a huge Detroit Lions fan. In his spare time, he enjoys indulging his addiction: Golf.
